\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0If you are easily “triggered”, you might not want to read this because I’m about to wield a big ol’ wide paint brush and beat \"\"up a whole group of people – the Gen Z crowd. I do it unapologetically and in the spirit of comedy. You’ve been warned, but you’re probably going to read it anyway and send me a bunch of hate mail because you have this drug-addict attraction to being offended.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m aware that stupid people exist because I encounter them every day. I consider myself a person of average intelligence. Apparently, in 2022, the average is becoming the new genius. Occasionally, I like to use YouTube as an RRHG (random rabbit-hole generator). I fall into these rabbit holes for hours at a time watching some incredibly dumb stuff and then hate myself because I just wasted two hours that I could have used to rearrange the canned goods in my pantry. Don’t judge, you do the same thing too – so shut up. A few days ago, I fell into the “dumb people” rabbit hole where YouTube content creators go out on the street and ask people questions about basic topics like politics, geography, and science. This is actually a remake of a bit Jay Leno used to do on the Tonight Show called Jay Walking. As I watched the videos, I noticed that a lot of them focused on Gen Z kids (mid 20’s). I sat there going back and forth between hilarity and mouth agape as the wonderment of the Gen X stupidity I was witnessing became apparent. It was like I discovered a new emotion. I will give them this though – they look good, act cool, and most of them can name all of the Kardashians, so there’s that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a short list of some of the questions posed to these good-looking geniuses. Just to be fair to the Gen Z crowd, I didn’t just find one or two videos and then went on a Gen Z kids are dumb tirade. I watched about three hours of these knuckleheads and I picked these questions because they were the most commonly asked of the group, so I feel this is a fair slice of the “how dumb are Gen Z kids” Dumbo pie chart. This is as close to Dumbo engineering as I can get. I realize that some peopled may be “triggered” by this rant, (you) they should probably stop reading here.<\/span><\/p>\n
